Your Wedding Ceremony

We love love and unless you have had children, your wedding day WILL be the best day of your life. My name is Deb and I want to be your host, your guide and the person who captures EXACTLY what your heart wants to say and hear on your wedding day. Since 2019, I've been a wedding officiant and a licensed to perform wedding ceremonies in Wisconsin and Minnesota. As an undergrad student, I was nationally ranked in Forensics and Debate. My post college years included teaching, including at the college level, and for many years, I coached public speaking. I am a lifelong Catholic and also spent several years as the Director of Religious Education at a parish in western Wisconsin. During this time, I also taught English to priests who immigrated to the United States.

I help couples design THEIR perfect ceremony, whether it is religious, secular (non-religious) or Grandma approved "Yay, Jesus!) When I was a college student, I was stopped by a police officer for speeding. Nine years later, I married him! Fast forward, I have been married to the love of my life over 35 years, have two adult daughters and an adorable granddaughter. 'm excited to find out about you and your beloved and to guide you through your special day.

OFFICIANT SERVICES INFORMATION

Our wedding plans are easy. First it starts by signing a contract, paying your deposit and filling out a details sheet. (That's how I find a baseline for the type of ceremony you want.) I'll also ask you to send me your wedding license and photocopies of your identification.

I'll start writing your wedding ceremony and suggest a wedding schedule to help things flow. I'll drop you a copy of the schedule ad also the narrative and you can look it over, suggest changes and send them back. With your contract, you will receive an original wedding ceremony plus up three edits.

In the 30 days leading up to your big day, we'll meet in person... usually over a cup of beverage at an area coffee shop. We'll go over last minute details and make sure everything is perfect for your wedding ceremony.

On the day of your wedding, I'll arrive at your venue 30-45 minutes before the ceremony start time. Together we'll conduct a wedding that highlights the start of your new marriage journey AND melts your guests' hearts. If your wedding banquet starts within one hour of the ceremony and if you want, I can also lead a mealtime prayer.

Afterwards, I will prepare your license paperwork and file it with the Court. If you have prepaid the Clerk for certified copies, you should receive them from the Courthouse 7-14 days after your wedding. That's it: super easy!
